You know what's fun? Working 11 hour days 3 days in a row. But alas, I need it because what it means is that I get to take the time off later. Hopefully. That's the plan. I am already looking forward to the weekend - I hope I get to watch Castle and play Transistor. That's all I want! For now, I've got a swatch of another Rainbow Honey polish from the Midnight Garden collection.
This is Rainbow Honey Sparkling Agave - it's described on the official store as "full of iridescent and metallic shimmer, this beautiful spring green will sparkle in the sun like nothing else in your collection". Indeed it's VERY much comprised of shimmer! The formula was great too - going on with smooth coverage in two coats. Here's my swatch in two coats and no top coat:
For funsies, here's some nail art I did with outlines (because I am OBSESSED with outlining my nails - I can't stop!) and more from the Midnight Garden collection. I used Metalmark, a green holo butterfly glitter and Tayabak, a bright green creme. I would say the polishes in this collection go so well together!
Rainbow Honey has been releasing a lot of collections lately - I wish they had slowed down after Midnight Garden because I feel like the collection didn't have enough time to breathe and get any spotlight time. It's like we've already moved onto Neon Graffiti - but I want to embrace Midnight Garden a bit longer! Ah well, just an opinion from me - I know fans are fans, and business is business and as long as the fans want more, there will be more! But I do love to enjoy things and let lust for more grow a little! ;)
Do you enjoy lusting for things even though it's a bit of a pain to wait? Or are you more of an impatient type? I am addicted to outlining my nails lately - are there any nail art tricks that you just can't seem to stop doing?
I love how those holo butterflies make it look all jewel-encrusted-y! I don't even like shaped glitter but these are pretty damn cute.
ReplyDeleteI feel like adding a matte top coat to glittery things is my go-to trick, haha.
Some shaped glitter is great - but you know what's never great? Shape glitter removal. D: Ahhhhh!!! And yeah matte coat on glitters and flakies is a solid one. That's one of my faves too!
DeleteI'll have to try outlines, still haven't done that yet! I love the manicures you're creating with them!
ReplyDeleteEver since I discovered how you can make nice clean lines with a striper brush, I just can't stop, lol!
DeleteI love everything about this nail art! Such pretty greens for spring, and it just feels very stylish with a retro vibe to it.
ReplyDeleteI agree that sometimes it's nice to wait between releases, give us time to enjoy it fully before moving on to something new.
Gives us time to fully enjoy - AND gives us some time to save up for the next, hehe!
DeleteI agree with you on the speed at which RH has been releasing new collections. Um, I"m still all about the Robot collection ;-) I also really love the Final Fantasy and Midnight Garden one as well. Sparkling Agave is just gorgeous as is your nail art (as ALWAYS!!)
ReplyDeleteYou know what? I still haven't even swatched Robots or Final Fantasy. The speed is honestly that high and while I guess I could post the whole collection in one mega post, I still prefer to do one polish at a time to give a spotlight to each polish and to show off any versatility a polish might have. Just a personal preference of mine though!
DeleteAnd thaaaank youuuu - still working on improving my nail art! :D <3
