I am actually sick in bed today - I don't know what happened - I just got over being sick and yet I caught another bug of sorts! I noticed it when I was editing photos on Friday night and the Perrier water I was drinking was stinging me, ugh! Anyway I couldn't miss out on Caitlin's and my Bestie Nail Art Challenge: this week's theme is "animal print". I mulled over a few optionss but ultimately ended up going for a classic leopard print look.
Make sure you check out Caitlin over at Addicted to Lacquer for more pics of her nails - I think she hit it out of the park this week with her french tips and colourful leopard highlights. They look AWESOME!
Tonight Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls drops so to celebrate, I've brought along my soulstone from my Diablo 3, Collector's Edition. Because I am a sucker for anything Blizzard puts out with the words "Collector's Edition" attached, with the exception of "World of Warcraft". But anyway, I opted for a classic leopard print look, and I went with a larger print because it was my first time and I didn't want to have any small intricate details to worry about for this time around. I started with a base colour of a shimmery slightly holographic gold with Rainbow Honey Gilded Angel, and then made 'blobs' (I am SO technical!) with Color Club Earthy Angel, and made "C" and "U" shapes with OPI You Don't Know Jacques! with a nail art brush. For funsies, I made a little heart shape leopard spot on my ring finger.
Anyway I'll leave there as I need to get back to bed and rest but I hope you enjoyed this. Have you done leopard print nails before? What colours would you use for a funkier look? Any fellow nail bloggers getting in on Reaper of Souls? I'm currently a level 171 paragon wizard looking forward to level 70 and getting new gear.
I love the heart!!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I am glad I forgot to photograph Animal Print 1.0 because I totally didn't do the heart the first time around. :)
DeleteOh man, Gilded Angel looks fantastic! Loove shimmery glowy golden polish <3 And I'd say that's a highly succesful first leopard print :D
ReplyDeleteGilded Angel is one of my faves - I've been a fan of RH staples since they started making them! Next time I think I'll go a little more intricate on the details!
DeleteI LOVE THEM! Great colour choice, and I saw the heart right away! :)
ReplyDeleteI have yet to try leopard print, but I want to.
I hope you feel better soon.
And I will be losing my husband to D3 for a while. ;)
