Monarch Butterfly Wing Nail Art

You know that moment when the clinic says that there's a two hour wait, only to return after two hours and there's another 45 minutes wait? Yeah? Yeah. Anyway while I was waiting I ended up buying some Heys luggage from Winners where I continued to panic on whether or now I should check a bag. (My BFF suggested that I do since it's a month long trip.) All ironic because by the time I got to the doctor, I was in a frenzy and I just needed a refill on my Ativan. How about that! Anyway, it's Monday so now it's time for Shitty Nail Art Monday, I am gonna bring it all back!

Here's some Monarch Butterfly Wing nail art! I had originally made these for the "animal print" challenge that Caitlin and I were going to do but ultimately like my leopard design more. I made this design by painting my nails all white, then sponging a gradient using Color Club Daisy Does It and Color Club Berry and Bright. I painted the black art with a fine nail art brush and then used a dotting tool for the white detailing.

Here's a list of all the materials I used for this nail art:

+ dotting tool
+ fine nail art brush
+ make-up sponge
+ Zoya Snow White
+ Color Club Daisy Does It (yellow)
+ Color Club Berry and Bright (red)
+ OPI Black Onyx (black)

I'm not completely thrilled with the outcome of this but it was a first attempt and I've been practising with a striper brush (OMG WHY DIDN'T I DISCOVER IT SOONER) and could probably do a better job next time. Hopefully, anyway. Here's some more shots:

So any travel savvy ladies want to give a not-so-savvy lady on check in luggage? Could you live out of a bag for a month, when you have people to impress and dress nicely for? Give me your travel hacks! Also, while we're at it: What takes the cake for an animal print theme? Butterflies or leopards?

for a month i would check a bag... i don't know where you're going, but even just in terms of liquid/gels it is nice to be able to check as well as potential souvenirs?

    1. WHY CAN'T IT BE FOLLOW THE BUTTERFLIES! Ah dumb Harry Potter reference haha...

I'll be going to Ireland, England and Paris! But I decided to just ah fuckit, check a bag. This way I can bring all my high maintenance Joico hair products, hehehe. Buying that stuff there would just cost too much I think.
