OH MY GOD GUYS, my car lives!!! I was anticipating a $4000 transmission fix but it was just a clutch pulley and some other thinger that cost $300. OH MY GOSH I AM SO HAPPY. It still sucks I had to spend any money on my car this month as I am looking to register for school BUT OMG AT LEAST IT'S NOT $4000, YES. OK. Anyway. Also! WORLD CUP! Yes, that starts like now. Anyway! To end the week, I've got Rainbow Honey Prussian Sky from the backburner. (Haha, I almost typed in "backburger" mmmmm could use a veggie burger right about now...)
Rainbow Honey's shop describes Prussian Sky as "a steel blue full of microflakes and green, blue, and violet shimmer". I find that the shimmer is pretty subtle - I honestly like that though. I am not the biggest fan of "in your face" out-of-the-box shimmer polishes. I'd rather put the sparkles on myself! The formula is pretty slick, and full coverage only needed two coats. Here's my swatch with no top coat:
I wanted to put SOME glitter on this so I used Rainbow Honey The Soirée from the March Mystery Bag. They didn't have an explicit description of it in the March card ("This elegant glitter topper may be joining a collection later this year, let us know what you think!") but I would best compare it to a similar make-up of "The Worst Possible Thing" from the Equestria collection with royal blue glitters and matte black stars. It's a really pretty glitter topper but I don't think Prussian Sky is the best to pair it up with. Alas, here it is:
Should be interesting to see if The Soirée actually gets released later this year with a collection. I am finding that Rainbow Honey is essentially putting in sneak previews of their releases in their mystery bags so if it does - this proves it!
What do you think Prussian Sky? Do you like your shimmer levels high or low?
Soirée and Prussian Sky look like a perfect match! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNext time I'll have to try Soiree over a lighter colour hehe - gotta show off those black stars!
DeleteI agree with the previous commenter, they really are a great match! I loove that glitter gradient and how the larger glitter blends in with the shimmer in Prussian Sky <3
ReplyDeleteIf there's one thing that RH glitter toppers are good for it's glitter gradients. They're great!
DeleteThis is a very pretty blue, and it's perfect paired with that glitter! I like all levels of shimmer and glitter - is that any surprise? lol!
ReplyDeleteYay about your car! That must be such a relief!
Thank you! I was freaking out so much about my car but I am relieved now. Life is expensive - especially because I am also planning on going back to school!
