Happy Independence Day to all my American friends! I love you! I totally forgot to edit my photos of the DAVIDsTEA teal nail polish search so I'll post it tomorrow. In the meantime, I do have something from the backlog, so just to remind any of you - these photos are taken in bias to a sterile white light. I'm not used to it anymore! Anyway, I am sort of moody because I had the hardest time with customer service for my cell phone. I think they took away their option for "To speak with a customer service representative, Press" whatever. That was an extremely frustrating experience. To boot, their live chat was busted and their website didn't have any information on how it was coded, or any browser optimization. As a technical person, it was completely frustrating but hey nail polish, right?
Ahhhh.... Nail polish. Today I've got OPI Vant To Bite My Neck? from the Euro Centrale collection, which I love so much actually. Still one of my fave collections to have come out this year! Vant To Bite My Neck? is a deep vampy eggplant purple creme. Ohhhh it's gorgeous and formula-wise it covers in two smooth self-leveling coats, finishing with a glossy edge on its own. Here's my swatch in two coats and no top coat:
I think it looks WAY gorgeous on its own. Because it's a creme, you can layer some glitter on it, but make sure you pick a glitter with complimenting or contrasting colours. I layered a coat of China Glaze Glitz N Pieces over top, but hated it. I bet it would look way better with OPI Polka.com.
Meh, not the best but again, LOVE OPI Vant To Bite My Neck on its own! WOWZA!
So stay tuned for tomorrow's post where I finally find my bread winner in my search for the perfect DAVIDsTEA teal nail polish! In the meantime, have you ever been frustrated with customer service via phone? Most of my frustrations actually just finding someone to talk to! I wouldn't be so bitchy if the phone number was right there for me! Ah well. How do you like these vampy colours? I keep showing them instead of some serious summer colours - I'll have to resolve that soon!
Oh wow this is beautiful! So shiny and leveled, and that colour is to die for!
ReplyDeleteI had a frustrating experience with customer service from our hydro company last week. We keep having "brownouts" (power goes off for 2 seconds), we had 4 last week, ridiculous! So I wanted to speak with someone about WTF is going on! But the lady kept saying to fill out their Contact Us form on their site, and kept praising their awesome website. I don't give a **** about your website, I want answers! *sigh*
I seriously love the whole Euro Centrale collection, it's so solid!
DeleteAlso I seriously almost flipped out. I mean, I was telling the guy, I know it's not your call, I know it's not your fault - but... ... It's kind of true though - for some reason Rogers wasn't putting my last bill with my old credit card onto the next bill with the new credit card. Makes no sense! And I hate it when Visa flags me for my weird online purchases, I swear I get a new credit card twice a year.
Vant To Bite My Neck is gorgeous! I really love it with the glitter on top too!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely goes with everything - I guess that's why I love cremes so much. :D
DeleteVant to Bite My Neck? looks fabulous with most Rainbow Honey glitters. Go ahead and coat My Love over it. You'll die of happiness.
ReplyDeleteOh I am going to! My Love looks amazing over dark colours so I can only imagine how great that pairing will be!
DeleteLove the richness of the purple in Vant To Bite My Neck. I like it with out the glitter for a more bad girl/vampy feel. Another color I'm adding to my never ending wish list!
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a mini OPI Euro Centrale collection with ALL the colours because honestly it's such a solid set. Sucks that their mini set only comes with 4, that's so ridiculous!
