OPI Don't Touch My Tutu! Swatch and Review

Alright with the wedding season ramping up in mid summer, I'll be doing scheduled posts (or at least I'll try to do scheduled posts) as a lot of my free time has now shrunken down, for photo editing and trying to get a new project off the ground. Basically, I'll be around but I won't be updating live anymore, which is what I've been doing for this last half of the year. I think I'll try to but I guess we'll see what's up. Here's another from the backlog, so again, don't mind the white light white balance.

This is OPI Don't Touch My Tutu! from the New York City Ballet Soft Shades collection. Definitely my favourite soft shades collection to be released so far with all of the formulas to be very squishy with nice and even sheer coverage. Very important for coverage to be even so you won't get any streaks! OPI Don't Touch My Tutu! is a white jelly, that builds up rather nicely in three coats. Perfect for jelly sandwiches. Formula is great, just like all the others I owned and tried - no complaints here. I'll show you how it builds:

Three coats of OPI Don't Touch My Tutu!:

I love it as one coat because it gives the illusion of healthy nails, haha! I also love it fully built up over three coats. I like it on its own, but it's naturally an invitation for some subtle glitter tips, or maybe a louder glitter in a jelly sandwich. Up to you! Very versatile!

How do you manage your blog? If you don't have a blog, how do you organize your life? Do you like these sheer jellies, or do you prefer an opaque colour?

  1. I need to start drafting like 3-4 blog posts at a time. I tried that one week and managed to get a post published 5 out of 7 days! Wooo, that's a record for me ;) And to answer your question... I am so into jellies and crellies! I've already made several, and I just ordered TONS more glitter. I have very exciting idears (I think), check this out...I got some neon pink stars, eeee! I had to order a small bag though because they were sold out of the half oz bags, and I didn't want to drop $15 on an ounce of starfs. So I shall use said small bag of stars to make something fit for a porn star. Since they're hard to get ahold of, I shall make it an LE :) I'm way too excited about effing glitter lol.

    1. I usually get to prepping all my photos but I always have to do the writing - which isn't much but then I have to cross post to Google+, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram and I think that's the part that always takes the longest. #bloglifeproblems, lol.

I saw your post on your giveaway and your polishes look so good! I think it was the prize that looked the best out of all of them! I am not even interested in the international prize unfortunately. Well, if you are looking for a blogger to highlight your brand, let me know! LOL :D :D

  2. This is a beautiful sheer! And I agree, it's perfect for jelly sammies!!! This collection came out before I really got into nails so I don't have any from this one. But I do have a few sheers that work great.

Since I only post every 2-3 days (with 3 being my max) I don't have to worry too too much about scheduling. I usually have about 1-2 weeks ahead worth of posts ready to go (depending on what I've had the chance to try). So if my backlog is getting slim then I'll slow down posting to 3 days, but if I find I have lots waiting in line then I'll do every 2 days for a bit, and then alternate between 2-3 days. I'm very structured in life, that's just how I am, and even though I have a bit of structure on my blog, I keep it more loosy-goosy. It's a place for me to relax. :)

Do you have a site for your photography? I would LOVE to see your work.

    1. I usually have a backlog of photos and I timed myself the other day - I think it took me an entire hour to edit photos for a week and a half worth of posts. That's about 6 posts since I only post 4 days a week. I would post more but I just have so many projects on the go. I love this one but man, I am worried about keeping it up for the rest of the summer, gah!

And if you see any of the OPI NYC Ballet shades, pick em up - they should be on sale by now! There's a store by my house that still somehow has all of them LOL.

  3. It's definitely natural-looking! Maybe a bit too natural-looking? I don't know...

    1. They're definitely natural looking but I know what you mean about "too natural" lol - I'd definitely be sporting some glitter, or french tips or SOMETHING ANYTHING over top! :)
